What is the length of the rope?
Terra Cotta Pendants come with waxed cotton ropes approximately 19.5 inches
in length. They can be shortened, as the one in the photo, and even
lengthened a little.
Why would I put the oil on a pendant when I could just as easily put
in on my skin?
When you put the oil on your skin, it becomes absorbed there and after a
while you can no longer smell it. But when you put oil on a clay pendant
diffuser, the oil has nowhere to go but back into the air, into your
breathing space! Plus, diffusing oils on a pendant diffuser makes sense for
those oils which are best not applied to the skin. Terra Cotta
Pendants are the perfect diffusing medium; effective, safe, economical
and mobile!
How do you change the oil on the pendant?
It's simple: you don't have to! If you apply a drop on Monday morning, most
of it will have flashed off by Tuesday morning. So on Tuesday, when you
apply a different oil the oil most recently applied will be on the pendant
in greater quantity, meaning more of it will be diffusing than the former
oil. Personally, I find that after a few days of wearing different oils on
my pendant, the affect of the combined aromas of my favorite oils is
personal and wonderful - like my own signature blend! Or you may prefer to
have a couple of pendants on the go and to alternate them, using calming
oils on one, focusing oils on a second and just pure "feel-good" oils on a
third!
Where do I put the oil?
You lay the pendant flat and put one drop onto the
front of the clay. Allow the oil to fully absorb into the clay before wearing.
When using a Hipster, apply the oil to the back of the clay piece.
Will the oils stain my clothing?
No, as long as it is completely absorbed in the clay
before you put the pendant on.
How long does the oil last?
Usually most of the oil will diffuse from the
pendant within a day, but you will still be able to smell the oil for another
day or two or three. For best results, and to enjoy fully the benefits of
inhaling essential oils, refresh daily .
How much oil do I use?
One-three drops.
How can I change the oil that I'm using?
Wait until most of the oil has diffused off the
pendant, then apply the second one. Some oils will blend nicely so that you
can apply a second oil when there is still some of the first oil remaining on
the pendant.
